SWANA is pleased to present the Managing Recycling Systems course online. Over the next few months, we will offer all nine lessons from our Managing Recycling Systems student manual. A total of ten sessions covering the nine lessons will be offered via webinar on alternating Thursdays. The series runs from April to August 2011. Each session will be worth 2 CEU credits dependent upon successfully passing (with 70% accuracy) the quiz given at the end of the day, based on the material covered. The objectives of Managing Recycling Programs are to gain an understanding of elements associated with designing, funding and operating a successful and sustainable recycling program. The series focuses on recycling materials found in municipal solid waste (MSW) generated from residential, commercial and institutional sources. It does not include hazardous wastes, household hazardous wastes or special wastes, although these are discussed due to their relevance to recycling professionals.
