The Land of Lincoln Chapter is hosting a Construction and Demolition Debris (C&D) Workshop on May 13, 2008 at the Chateau Hotel and Conference Center located at 1601 Jumer Drive in Bloomington, Illinois.

Topics include:
Research project results on overcoming barriers to pollution prevention and recycling for construction waste.
Speaker: Richard Boser, Ph.D., Chair Department of Technology, Illinois State University.

Facility design and processing C&D materials in Illinois, identify existing markets and looking towards the future using Europe's success as a model.
Speaker: Scott Jable, Midwest Regional Manager, LUBO USA.

Update on C&D and clean C&D management and disposal in Illinois including the current status of facilities, existing laws and regulations that apply to the industry and proposed laws and regulations that will impact the industry.
Speaker: Paul Purseglove, Manager Field Operations, Illinois EPA Bureau of Land.

The Disaster Debris Recovery Network - An information and training resource to facilitate safe management and increase recovery and recycling of post-disaster debris, promote services and ensure compliance with regulations.
Speaker: Paul Ruesch, Environmental Engineer, U.S. EPA Region 5.
