Consists of 2 two-hour session
May 27th & May 29th
1:30 – 3:30PM Eastern Time
Can you manage your MSW in a more sustainable and environmental friendly way? Would you rather treat your solid waste than merely store it? Are you on top of leachate recirculation, liquids addition, and biostabalization? Would you like to be able to manage stormwater better, speed up the settlement of your msw, enhance gas-to-energy conversion, and even reduce long-term landfill management costs? If you are an owner, operator, designer, regulator, or any solid waste professional considering a bioreactor landfill or simply eager to learn about them, join Dr. George Reinhart, P.E., a project manager for Jones Edmunds & Associates in Gainesville, Florida and the instructor for the SWANA Manager of Bioreactor Landfill Training Course, and other Jones Edmunds’ professionals in bioreactor design and operations to learn about the many benefits of bioreactor landfills; some concerns (gas collection, seeps, permitting); ongoing research; and design, permitting, and operations issues of bioreactor landfills. Presented in two 2-hour sessions, this course will highlight aspects of the training course while sharing the latest research and experiences with operating bioreactors.
Earn up to 5 CEUs if you are Landfill or Bioreactor Certified. All others can earn up to 3 CEUs.
